Summertime in Nice is Prom Party time!

Besides the usual throngs of tourists to be found of an evening on the Promenade des Anglais, be prepared for an even bigger crush this summer as Nice welcomes back the annual Prom Party, running from mid July until August. These concerts and spectacles, with the occasional fireworks display, are a great night out and best of all, they are free!
The Prom Parties start on July 14th, or La Fête Nationale if you will, with an impressive line-up of artists, including DJ Denis, Luc Ramirez and his soothing jazz sounds, Nabori who will provide a bit of Cuban influence and Riri Biagini, Musette, amongst many others, as well as the much-anticipated fireworks display for Bastille Day.
The remaining parties in July are on Friday 22nd and 29th, featuring jazz fusion from Maria Marolany, some Brazilian sounds from none other than Lyli de Bahia, more jazz from the Azur Big Band, Riri Biagini once again, some rock from Happy Hour and Kustom Band and some 'variété' from Orchestre Exclusif.
The August Prom Parties take place on Friday 5th and Monday the 15th, the holiday for the Feast of the Assumption. Look out for Dona Flor, Hyphen Hyphen, Samba Bahia, DJ Denis again, Diamond Voices and our new favourite Riri Biagini. The final party on the 15th also sees the second and final fireworks display take place.
So you have been warned - if you are not a crowd-type person, avoid the Promenade on these dates. However, if you like to party, you now know where to go! Enjoy!
