The 46th running of the Antibes Côte d’Azur Rally takes place from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th October 2011. The European Rally Championship is all to play for, with the Italian Luca Betti, winner here in 2010 in his Peugeot 207 S2000, taking advantage of the last two races for a 3-point lead over Luca Rossetti in the Fiat Grande Punto S2000.
Other drivers who should not be dismissed from the final melting pot for the title include Czech Antonin Tlustak and Maciej Oleksowicz from Poland, being only 13 points behind the leader.
There are three stages in this rally, the first one being on Friday night, with the first cars leaving Antibes at 17h30. The stages on Saturday and Sunday see the drivers competing in the hills behind Antibes before returning to base.

There are plenty of attractions for the rally enthusiast also planned in Antibes. Running from Sunday 9th to Thursday, 13th October, Place de Gaulle will host an exhibition of competition vehicles, both old and new. On Wednesday 12th October, there will be a workshop dealing with road safety, presented in association with representatives of local technical colleges, mechanics and drivers. The teams will be presented to the fans on Thursday 13th October, followed by an autograph session. Kiss FM will also be present on the day, hosting various games, raffles and general merriment for the public.
So, here's to another great rally on the Côte d’Azur - gentlemen, start your engines and have fun out there!
