The Hermitage Hotel Monte Carlo - Producing Productive Relaxation!
BY Endymion Quinn-Pietri FOR FR2DAY.COM Jul 7, 2010
Well, they have gone and done it AGAIN! SBM declares its current undertaking. The historical palace known as one of the WOW top 10 best spa hotels in the world, has taken a few "spa days" of its own! Built at the turn of the century, the hotel is practically a museum with a high comfort factor! As most things born at the turn of the century (Dick Clark, Cher) certain steps must be made to refresh, refurbish or as the hotel refers to it, a "Cure of rejuvenation". The renovation of the "Midi" and "Costa" wings has now given us 100 new guest rooms to run amuck in with our pedicured feet!
Soon to be revamped is the mezzanine, the restaurant/bar and the "Winter Garden" topped with a striking glass and steel dome signed by Gustave Eiffel. (Maybe you've heard of him?) By next January the new Eiffel Meeting Room will also be ready to happily accommodate up to 250 guests who even though on business, will agree their inspirational suroundings "don't stink".

Recognized by Conde Nast Traveller, Travel and Leisure and Forbes Traveler 400 should make you at least stop by to take a peek at the "New-Old" but discovering that the hotel's restaurant Le Vistamar was recently awarded a Michelin star will make you sit and stay (Violet asparagus is for cool people).

If you book a room between now and July 31st the prices have been lowered dramatically for the season and if you book before JULY 15th, the most important meal of the day (Breakfast) is included in the price. For prices and booking information please visit the hotel website.
