The Red Radish Underground Supper Club - There's No Place like Home!

In New York and London it is the ultimate 'foodie' credential. A list of secret supper venues - tucked behind anonymous doorways or in unlikely hip locations - 'un-official gourmet restaurants' that you've no chance of finding on the French Riviera (06) unless you are like FR2DAY and seriously in the know.
These secret supper clubs or 'pop-up' restaurants are all the rage in the world's leading cities. They can be loosely be defined as 'underground home bistros'. People with an interest in fine food invite you into their home or to a random, unusual venue via a social networking site or through word of mouth. Et Voilà - before you know it you are gorging on fabulous home-cooked food whilst savouring that wonderful bottle of Châteauneuf du Pape you picked up for a song in the local supermarket, a few hours earlier.
It's a way to enjoy excellent food for very 'non-restaurant' prices and it's also a great chance to meet new people - working equally well whether you are on your own or just looking for somewhere different to celebrate your birthday with a bunch of friends!
Now the craze has hit the French Riviera! We all 'know' that France is the home of gastronomy, that the nation invented food, wine and the Michelin Star but people have obviously decided that they are looking for something a little different. Fantastic food in an intimate, candle-lit atmosphere and all in a fabulous venue that you won't find in any gourmet guide book!
Leading this ‘food heaven' revolution on the Cote d'Azur is the new 'Red Radish Underground Supper Club'. 'Chef to the stars', Louise Bird from Radish Events and formally the tennis club restaurant in Valbonne founded the club and already it's a hit - with her suppers set to become one the hottest seats in town.
Ssh though - we're only telling you here because we have connections. We even have their secret email....
Here's the inside track - the next secret suppers are taking place on the weekend of April 9th - all the details can be found on the Red Radish Facebook Group Pass it on..
