Summer Shocks on the Côte d'Azur - See these great photos and video

With the arrival of May on the Riviera, one expects clear blue skies and the temperatures to keep rising, heralding another beautiful summer in this piece of paradise.
Not so last Tuesday as 10 metre high waves battered the coast from Cannes to Nice, wreaking havoc in their path. Beach restaurants and cafés were obliterated, the debris seen for miles being tossed around by the waves.
Our photographer, Bostjan Skrjl captured these amazing images which give a sense of the utter devastation and the size of the clean-up task and and extent of rebuilding that lies ahead.
