ZEFestival is back in Nice for the Indian Summer!
ZEFestival l'Été Indien, organised by l'association Polychromes, is back for its fourth year, taking place in a variety of locations around Nice, including Cinéma Rialto, the Pathé Masséna and Cinéma Mercury. This LGBT festival of film runs from Wednesday 28th September to Friday 7th October 2011 and this year features more than twenty films, including feature and short films.
The organisers have invited numerous directors and actors to get involved in the festival - look out for names such as Gaël Morel, Amor Hakkar, Marina Vlady, Everett Lewis, and Maria Beatty. ZEFestival is looking to engage and interact with its audiences in introducing themes that are currently in the news: the fight against homophobia in Islam, the death penalty for homosexual love in some countries, same-sex parenting, trans identity and so on.
The programme for the festival is quite impressive, with a little something for everyone. Some highlights include the prizegiving for the photo competition entitled "Débauche et Sentiments" on Saturday 1st October, followed by the opening of an exhibition of the winning works at library Louis Nucéra. This event will be attended by the international photographer Nath-Sakura, author of several books, and Marc Dubord, photographer and set designer. The full programme is available to download from the official festival website.

The festival has been made possible with the help of the City of Nice, the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes and the Conseil Régional Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur.
