Is that an Infinity Pool or are you just pleased to see me?

The infinity pool just must've been invented by a man. But in this delightful watery instance illusion is totally forgiven. We all know that the Romans invented the concept of swimming and swimming-pools, now didn't we? But did you know that the first ever heated pool was built by Gaius Maecenas of Rome in the first century BC? Go figure already.
The infinity pool concept however is thoroughly modern, er...like 17th century modern and said to have originated from, yours truly, France. Story has it that one of the first ever "vanishing edge" designs was utilized in the "Stag Fountain" at the Palace de Versailles. Trés snazzy.

The ever so modern (circa 2000) Villefranche infinity pool featured here has a 180 degree uninterrupted (shush) view spanning the Bay of Villefranche, the Cap de Nice and Cap Ferrat. I feel dizzy at the thought. Note-to-self must, must cut down on drinking Champers while working. And not only is it totally stunning to look it, this pool is heated, has colour-change lighting and underwater speakers for the ultimate in snazz-factors.
And just to add even more impact, as if needed, there's a four meter waterfall which gently cascades down six levels of rock to dramatically backdrop the pool. There's also a mosaic Jacuzzi and giant natural stepping-stones which lead from the stone sunbathing terrace to the shallow end of the pool. I'm so moving in so please tell me who you are when you buy it.

Now, if you're wondering where to lay your weary heard after all that swimming the very nice owners have agreed to throw in a five bedroomed, five en-suite bathroomed villa, a 2-bedroomed guest cottage, a 1-bedroomed guest studio, a guardian cottage, a spa, a thermostatically-controlled cellar, an outdoor cinema, an indoor cinema and a leather-lined garage for 4 cars. My fingers are hurting from typing all those lovely extras. I did mention they were all neatly included in the one-off price of the pool?
FR2DAY strongly recommends you buy a house with an infinity pool, like this one, like immediately. And not just to get rid of me. I think.
