Fashion tips and accessories for your ... iPad!

With Fashion Week coming up in the months of September and October, style is on our minds as we impatiently await the unveiling of next season's must-haves. Whilst models strut their stuff on the catwalks, exhibiting different collections for our benefit - what will your iPad be dressed in this autumn?....come again you say?

It appears that little dogs aren't the only things we can dress up and walk around with in our handbags, apparently your iPad now also merits its very own collection of 'clothing' (housing seemed such a dull word in comparision). Whether it's a Gucci monogrammed, Burberry plaid, Louis Vuitton, or Marc Jacobs case you're after - there's one for everypad! Prices range from $175 to the whopping uber luxury $1,175! The latter being Dolce & Gabbana's black leather offering, accented with shimmery sequins with the hardware on the case being all gold.

iPad covers by Frederick James

The FR2DAY style pundits have also just discovered a New York city designer by the name of Frederick James, who designs and manufactures fashion iPad covers made out of luxury 'rescued' and vintage fabrics such as Cashmere, Silk, Rayon, Organza and Wool. His covers are intended to be a lightweight sleeve, adding minimal bulk when you carry your tablet around. 'Rescued fabric' is in fact material that has already been designed, produced and milled for other purposes. It could take the form of surplus fabric, vintage fabric that found a new life as an iPad cover, or recycled fabric from other items of clothing. Using 'rescued fabrics' keeps our carbon footprint low and provides you with an eco-friendly iPad cover. It is worth noting though that whilst Mr. James' designs offer the perfect covering to protect from scratches and nicks in your briefcase, purse, computer bag, or backpack, they are not intended to be protective should you drop it!

iPad cover made from Bernie Madoff's cardigan

The brand itself is best known for the limited edition iPad covers made from a number of personal clothing items belonging to notorious felon Bernie Madoff's clothing, which was auctioned by the US Marshals Service in 2010. Madoff is an incarcerated American felon, former stockbroker, investment advisor, the non-executive chairman of the NASDAQ stock market, and the brains behind the largest Ponzi scheme in history.

You may for example purchase a cover made from Madoff's blue 100% cotton Ralph Lauren Polo pants, complete with a certificate of authenticty available upon request! James' other collections include: The Lodge, The Island, The Jungle, The Office, and Food & Fun.
