Last Wednesday everyone on the Riviera went crazy as the 2010 sales started on all the best shopping boulevards in the region. It's an amazing feeling to find the pieces you love reduced to half price but this can turn to crushing disappointment when the last pair of dream-stilettos left on sale are not your size (there's no way your size seven feet are going to fit into a pair of size three shoes, girl!)

The other thing is the crowds - queues at the fitting rooms, jostling, crushed feet. There is a way to avoid all of this though - sales on the net! Best for unique designer finds and classic pieces that never go out of fashion. Think Marchesa dress or pair of Louboutins.
