Forget Rue d'Antibes - Here are the Top 5 Online Fashion Sales

Last Wednesday everyone on the Riviera went crazy as the 2010 sales started on all the best shopping boulevards in the region. It's an amazing feeling to find the pieces you love reduced to half price but this can turn to crushing disappointment when the last pair of dream-stilettos left on sale are not your size (there's no way your size seven feet are going to fit into a pair of size three shoes, girl!)

The other thing is the crowds - queues at the fitting rooms, jostling, crushed feet. There is a way to avoid all of this though - sales on the net! If you've never done this before and don't know where to start, here are my Top 5 online sales websites, to save you googling. Have your credit card at the ready and don't worry about which country are you in - these people deliver all over the world!

1.Net á porter
Best for unique designer finds and classic pieces that never go out of fashion. Think Marchesa dress or pair of Louboutins. However if you feel daring and want to buy an iconic piece for your wardrobe (even if it screams 2009) - you're still in the right place. Look out for the memorable Balmain dress that Shakira and Pink wore to the MTV VMA (at the same time..) Embarassing for them, cool for us - especially with a 50% reduction!

2. Flannels fashion
My favourite website for iconic footwear. I'm talking about the kind of shoes you'd go to Harrods just to look at. How about some Gucci Iman sandals - favourites of Rihanna and Beyoncé - for half of the original price?

3.French Connection
French connection is a media favourite, from LA to London. French Connection dresses were featured every week on the recent UK X factor. The most memorable was Stacey's sequin-houndstooth mini - still available on the website!

4.ASOS
The ASOS online sale is a must for the budget conscious. 'As Seen On Screen' is what the letters stand for, meaning you can find all the best quality knock-off red carpet outfits at prices so insignificant that you might end up with a celebrity wardrobe!  Don't forget to check the designer and high street brands as well - they're often priced lower than on the brands' own websites!

5.Departement Feminin
This site offers pure luxury at 50% off. That's if you can find the right size. The elaborate website design - very French - makes this a must for your online sales shopping spree. If you buy the Balmain blazer, please contact us, it'll be worth a feature!

It can be slightly intimidating to arrive in St Tropez or Monaco and find your clothes are dated and dowdy in comparison to the outfits being sported by the locals.

It's that time of year again. Surely there is nothing more magical than seeing the huge '50% off' sign in shop windows, or that all important word - Sale.

Following the success of the Kate Moss range for Top Shop, CEO of Arcadia group Sir Philip Green has launched a collection
