The Coke Side of Life: Karl Lagerfeld Designs Bottle for Coca Cola Light

Coca Cola is one of the best known brands in the world. The 'Kings of Corporate' have fostered some major creative partnerships in the past - and the latest to jump on the Coke wagon is German fashion designer and Cote d'Azur favourite, Karl Lagerfeld.
The 'Lagerfield' limited edition bottle is due for release in France on April 28. It's made of opaque aluminium, topped with a vivid pink bottle cap, and features his signature and the unmistakable silhouette of the Chanel designer himself on the bottle.

In addition to designing the bottle, he also directed the photography for the advertising campaign featuring Coco Rocha and Lagerfeld favourite Baptise Giacobini. Rocha stays true to the brand: sporting black shorts, a high collared white shirt, a black neck accessory, and even fingerless black gloves, while she sips her Coca-Cola Light from a crystal goblet. What is the significance of a crystal goblet you might ask? Well, according to WWD media; "Lagerfeld has long been a fan of diet cola, and says he prefers to drink it in a delicate crystal goblet to accentuate the taste."
The Karl Coca-Cola Light bottles are already on sale (3.50 Euros) at French boutique Colette, who along with Galeries Lafayette will get first dibs selling the much hyped limited edition boxed version - complete with a matching bottle opener hidden inside a little drawer in the box! It's not cheap - a mouth drying 47 Euros for this particular collectors item! Can't beat that feeling!
