The Jet
Let's start with the jet, one has to have the executive plane favoured by the super wealthy and heads of global corporations and that has to be the Gulfstream G550. High speed cruising at Mach 0.87, this jet boasts the most advanced flight deck in business aviation and makes light work of the trip to the South of France. But the flight deck is somebody else's interest, what does the cabin look like? The G550 features up to four distinct living areas, three temperature zones, a choice of 12 floor plan configurations with seating for up to 18 passengers. Maintaining contact with the home or office is easy thanks to a host of standard communication features: a fax machine, a printer, a wireless local area network and satellite communications. This is all in addition to the entertainment systems and needless to say some of the best cabin crew in the world. Some companies even let you choose your crew if you fly on a frequent basis and n
o need to worry about departure times, you choose when you want to fly.

The cost is €40,000 (Stansted - Nice - Stansted)

The Chopper
You land at Nice airport to be efficiently whisked through customs and chauffeured to your waiting helicopter ready to take you up into the air once more.

For this we have decided to use a single engine helicopter, the Eurocopter AS350 Astar, which can seat six but you like your privacy so you have the helicopter to yourselves. With a cruising speed of 140 knots (161mph) it will get to Monaco in a matter of minutes but ask the pilot to take his time and cruise low along the coastline giving you time to choose your new house in the sun or look at one of those super yachts you keep promising yourself. The short trip enables you to avoid the crowds and drop into the heart of Monaco using the same route as all those Formula 1 drivers.

The cost is €4,000

The Wheels

You land and are ushered under the rotating blades with your head low and step quickly towards your hire car. We decided to plump for an impressive vehicle that is less common than a Ferrari, even in Monaco, but equally recognisable. We think the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 Spyder fits the bill very nicely.

The Lambo is a pure and utter joy to drive, the V12 produces over 700bhp but be very careful as 0 to 100kph (62mph) takes just 3.4 seconds! It has a top speed of 350kph (217mph) but you want to drive slowly around Monaco so you can give all those people admiring your car time to get out their camera and click like a fashion photographer on a speed shoot.

The cost for a 2 day rental is €5,600

The Room
What better place to stay than the Hôtel de Paris right on Casino Square? Built in 1864, it is like a history book, its pages decorated with gilding, wood panelling, works of art and precious fabrics. There are only two suites you should stay in; these are the Charles Garnier apartment with its marvellous terrace, perfect for fans of Formula 1 and as the sun goes down, the views over the legendary Place du Casino are breathtaking. The other suite you should consider is the Winston Churchill apartment on the top floor, named after the great man himself who adored Monte-Carlo. It covers 210m², boasting fabulous views and a private entrance; its bathroom is as immense as it is impressive. Despite the apartment's contemporary design, it is still very much a tribute to the past as the mantelpiece, books, photographs and artist's easel all belonged to Churchill. If you want either one of these suites, you need to book early as they are very popular during the Grand Prix weekend costing €70,000 for four nights in the Churchill apartment or slightly less at €55,000 for the Charles Garnier Suite.

The cost for 2 nights in the Churchill Apartment is €36,000

The GP Tickets
If you have not asked the concierge at your hotel to get you tickets then why not contact the Automobile Club de Monaco and buy your tickets online. Tickets cost approximately €450 each for Casino Square and this gives you a numbered seat (important as you don't want to be rushing down from breakfast just to get a good view.) It's always fun to be in the crowd but if this gets too much then retire to your hotel suite and watch from the comfort of your balcony.

The cost for two tickets is €900

CELEBRATING YOUR MAN WINNING

The race was exciting, you had great views and your favourite man won, so let's return to your hotel suite and watch the setting sun and celebrate with champagne. Nothing could be more fitting than a gold-labeled bottle of Cristal Brut, dubbed the Methuselah and former favourite of the hip-hop crowd. Drink and enjoy as these bottles of champagne are collectors' items and becoming harder to find.

The cost for Champagne is €13,500

So all in all, a very exciting two day jaunt. If you are lacking friends then contact us as we would certainly love to be your new best friend; otherwise it's back to the lottery!
