Versace and H&M team up to take the fashion world by storm!

Luxury fashion wear prances onto the High Street this week, as the Italian label Versace teams up with H&M to introduce an iconic collection inspired by the 80's and 90's. Donatella follows closely in the footsteps of prestigeous fashion houses like Stella McCartney, Sonia Rykiel, and last year's Lanvin just to name a few.
Word of warning - this collection is not for the faint hearted wallflower! Staying true to the unique style that is Versace - flamboyant and over-the-top sexy are the first words that pop into your head at first glance through the collection. Think bright baroque patterns/tropical print on skin tight pants and slinky body-fitting cuts on evening dresses, and you've got the right idea.

Whilst some of the pieces might not look very wearable, there are quite a few great evening dresses for the party season and some classics that I've got my eye on: like the amazing slinky, knee length LBD with gold hardware that's a wink at Gianni's famous safety pin dress worn by Elizabeth Hurley in 1994, and the buttery soft leather biker jackets that look as if they have a great snug fit.

According to the H&M site, the dress is going to retail for 129€ (an absolutel steal!) whilst the jackets are priced from 199€ upwards. Versace items of clothing can sell for anything between 500 - 5,000€ (choke), so fashionistas everywhere are abuzz with excitement at the thought that they might be made accessible even if only for a day!
The collection includes 40 pieces for women, 20 pieces for men and accessories which include some great sandals and chic evening clutches. Also for the very first time since a designer collaboration with H&M, the collection will feature some homeware pieces for the chic French Riviera housewife.
Versace for H&M hits stores November 17 worldwide, and you can bet your crusty French baguette that there is going to be a stampede. Remember to set your alarm clocks ladies, queueing begins early!
