Our friends in Red Radish have their first Supper Club of the year tonight, Friday 20th January, and it promises to be some event. On top of the guaranteed great food that will be on offer, there is also top international entertainment on the bill with the fabulous Jill Barber performing a selection of her songs for the lucky attendees.

Nice Opera present the two final performances of a new production of Mozart's opera 'Die Entführung aus dem serail' on Sunday 22nd at 3pm and Tuesday 24th January at 8pm, under the direction of Leopold Hager. Tickets cost from €38 - €78 and may be reserved online.
There will be a bit of a cultural clash this coming Thursday, 26th January, as both Australia and Scotland go head-to-head in the party stakes. MonacoUSA will be celebrating Australia Day in Zest in Port Hercule in Monaco, while the International Club of the Riviera will be honouring Robert Burns with a cocktail or two in Galerie Oscar in Nice. Up to you to decide where to go, and show where your true allegiances lie!
If diamonds are your thing, you may want to check out the exhibition that is currently running in the Museum of Natural History in Nice, entitled 'In Search of the Blue Diamond'. The exhibition is a fascinating voyage into the past: the blue diamond is the symbol of the absolutist monarch, Louis XIV.
For lovers of all things Cocteau, you may want to check out the new Jean Cocteau Museum in Menton which continues to host a temporary exhibition dedicated to Jean Sabrier, a Bordeaux based artist, who gives new perspectives to paintings through art history. It will also give you the opportunity to admire more than 2,000 works from the multi-talented Cocteau.

The 36th edition of the world renowned Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo is underway and runs until Sunday 29th January. As always, there is a spectacular line-up, guaranteed to thrill all ages. Tickets are available online and range in price from €30 - €90.
On the sporting front, only OGC Nice are in action this weekend. They play Rennes in the last 16 round of the Coupe de France at 20h45 on Saturday 21st January.
The Club Nautique d’Antibes Juan-les-Pins are hosting the Ski Voile International regatta, which runs until Sunday 22nd January. The event is open to all boats in the Dragon, 505, 420, Fireball, Finn, and Catamaran C1 classes and is run under the auspices of the Fédération Française de Voile.
The 80th edition of the Monte-Carlo Rally finishes up this Sunday 22nd January in Monaco. Will Sébastien Loeb manage to hold on to his slender lead for those valuable World Rally Championship points?
So, that's it for this week. Have a great weekend and week ahead and remember to keep checking our Facebook page for your daily slice of French Riviera life!
