What's On Round-up - well, that's January in the bag!

Welcome back to another weekly round-up, bringing you some of the very best things to do on the beautiful French Riviera. We have a great and varied line up of activities to keep you occupied this weekend and throughout the week ahead, so without further ado, sit back, relax, take it all in and embrace February with open arms!
The Opéra de Monte-Carlo present their final performance of L'Enfant et les sortilèges by Ravel and La Navarraise by Massenet tonight, Friday 27th January at 8pm in the Salle Garnier in the Opera House. Tickets range in price from €42 to €114.
The Midem Festival hits Cannes this weekend, running from January 28th - 30th. Look out for the likes of 2ManyDJs, The Ting Tings, Imany (pictured above) and Selah Sue who will all be performing over the weekend on the Croisette.
If diamonds are your thing, you may want to check out the exhibition that is currently running in the Museum of Natural History in Nice, entitled 'In Search of the Blue Diamond'. The exhibition is a fascinating voyage into the past: the blue diamond is the symbol of the absolutist monarch, Louis XIV.
Staying in Nice, Galerie Oscar presents the works of artist Marina Kulik for a limited time only - the exhibition of her aquarelle watercolours finishes on Tuesday next, 31st January.
For lovers of all things Cocteau, you may want to check out the new Jean Cocteau Museum in Menton which continues to host a temporary exhibition dedicated to Jean Sabrier, a Bordeaux based artist, who gives new perspectives to paintings through art history. It will also give you the opportunity to admire more than 2,000 works from the multi-talented Cocteau.

The 36th edition of the world renowned Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo continues until this Sunday, 29th January. As always, there is a spectacular line-up, guaranteed to thrill all ages. Tickets are available online and range in price from €30 - €90.
For those of you who like to gamble and ski, why not check out the final night tonight (Friday) of the Auron Poker Ski tournament hosted by Partouche. The first prize is a €10,000 package which includes accommodation and entry into the final of the PPT event to be held in Cannes.
On the sporting front, OGC Nice host Montpellier Hérault SC at 7pm on Saturday 28th January, while AS Monaco also play at home when they welcome RC Lens on Monday night, 30th January at 20h30.
