Yeah Monaco Baby! The 68th Grand Prix is On!

The dust has hardly settled on the Historic Grand Prix in Monaco when we welcome back the big boys from Formula 1 for the 68th Monaco Grand Prix. This has already proven to be an interesting year with the arrival of new teams, the disappearance of some familiar ones and the revival of seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher's career after a three year absence. Monaco surely holds some great memories for him having secured victory on the famous track on numerous occasions.

Race weekend runs from 13th - 16th May. Thursday sees a host of activity with two Formula 1 practice sessions at 10am and 2pm, and practice sessions and qualifying rounds for other categories. Friday's programme includes further qualifying rounds for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and the first GP2 race (entry is free on this day!). The third F1 practice session (11am - 12pm) and qualifying (2pm - 3pm) will be held on Saturday. Sunday is of course race day, with the main event starting at 2pm!

So will local boy Jensen Button repeat his winning formula from last year or will there be others in the mix vying to take the title on the most up-close and personal circuit in the world? I just love the smell of burnt rubber in the morning!

Tickets are available from the Automobile Club de Monaco.

Jenson Button clinched the Formula One World Championship last week, becoming the 10th British driver to do so and rounding off a fairytale year for the 29 year

The 7th edition of the biennial Monaco Historic Grand Prix gets underway this weekend and promises to be a true spectacle.

Once again the Monaco Sporting Summer Festival has come up with the goods.
